Changes in PMP Exam- 10 Minute Break in PMP Exam

Applicable for: Online Proctored Exam and Center Based Exam

Impact on PMP Exam taker: Significant

What PMP exam taker should do: Change the approach to take PMP exam

——–

Now the PMP exam has been split in two parts with an inbuilt 10-minute break in the exam.

While keeping the exam time for 4 hours, this 10-minute additional time is offered to the exam taker.

This is not mandatory for everyone to take this 10-minute break. If someone wishes to continue without the break, it can be done without any problem.

But significant part is that, the exam is divided into two parts- First Part and Second Part.

Remember, every part has to be taken separately. But First Part has to be completed and submitted, to proceed to the Second Part.

After completing roughly half the exam (time) in the first 2 hours’ time after starting the exam, there will be an alert  asking the exam taker to review and submit the First Part. (Will get a alert roughly answering 90 odd questions)

He has to complete this part and then take a break or choose to continue to the Second Part.

But ,once he takes the break or start the Second Part, he will not be able to access the first part.

This 10 minute break, if taken, the exam taker can leave the room but has to return to the exam within 10 minutes, otherwise, the Second Part of the exam will be submitted by itself.

Our Recommendation Take this 10 minute break and quickly come back. Have a quick snack ready to have in this break. Use this to your advantage.

All the very best for your PMP!
