When the changes are happening?

• Last date of current Exam- 31st December, 2020.
What is the impact of this change?
• How much is changing- Significant
• Impact of Exam taker- Significant
• Version of PMBOK– Still 6th Edition itself
What is changing?
Only the Exam testing areas will change and the exam questions will be from the new domains.
• People
– handling project teams
• Process
– concerned with technical aspects of managing
• Business Environment

– waterfall/agile/hybrid approach, and
– predictive approaches in project management.
Both of them will have equal importance in the exam.
What concerns those who are already certified?
Absolutely nothing and your PMP credential is secured. You need not take any bridge course or upgrade to the new exam. Having the updated understanding will do.
Suggestions?
Yes, it is always better to take the exam in the current version.
If you already taken the training, then think of taking the exam before the new exam starts.
Remember, it is not the PMBOK which is changing. It is still PMBOK-Guide 6th Edition. But the exam testing areas are changing.
All the best for your exam and career.

Thanks Phani….hope i keep posting further on all updates….all the best!
Sir, if I am preparing for current version and would like to give test on latest version, what precautions to be taken?
Hi Saidulu, first of all, need to wait for some more time to understand the nature of changes and can plan accordingly. Also, as far as we understand, there are many questions from Agile and Hybrid methodologies. It is better to take a refresher course on the updated pattern. Then practice a lot on mock exams (can take our mock exam package as well) and follow a study plan. Please write to us if you require any further guidance.
All the best!
